- Effective against all bacteria tested (including MRSA and VRSA).
- The range of efficiency of TauroLock covers a wide spectrum of bacteria and fungi.
- TauroLock is not an antibiotic; no bacterial resistance observed.
- TauroLock prophylactically avoids colonisation of catheters at the planctonic level and avoids the development of biofilm (see ref. 5, 8).

Antimikrobielle Katheterfülllösung - The concentration of citrate in TauroLock (4 %) is safe and efficient according to the recommendation of the FDA, dated from April 2000,(ref.: FDA Warning Latter, April 2000).

TauroLock avoids the development of biofilms on the surface of the catheter-lumen
Antimikrobielle Katheterfülllösung If used prophylactically, TauroLock avoids the development of biofilms on the surface of the catheter-lumen.

TauroLock inactivates bacteria and fungi in the biofilm, for example: P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, S. epidermidis, E. faecalis, C. albicans.

Upper picture: Catheter with heparin lock: 7 month implanted - S. epidermidis biofilm completely covers surface.

Lower picture: Catheter with TauroLock lock 5 month implanted: no microbial colonization.
